Recognizing Child Abuse

Child abuse encompasses various forms of harm inflicted upon a child by a parent, caregiver, or any individual responsible for their care. This includes:

Physical Abuse: Inflicting physical injury through actions like hitting or shaking.
Emotional and Psychological Abuse: Behaviors that harm a child’s self-worth or emotional well-being.
Sexual Abuse: Engaging a child in sexual acts.

If you suspect or witness child abuse, it’s crucial to act promptly. Here’s how:​

2. In Immediate Danger

If a child is in imminent danger:
